Rage Against the Machine Fight Arizona Law

Militant rock band Rage Against the Machine are planning to hold a concert to raise money to fight against the new potential law in Arizona that targets illegal immigrants, the band said on Wednesday.
Although the band has not played in their hometown of Los Angeles in over ten years, they will hold the concert this Friday. It will also raise awareness of “Sound Strike”, an artist boycott of the state of Arizona.
On the list of boycotters include Nine Inch Nails, Steve Earle, Billy Bragg, and documentary filmmaker Michael Moore. However, not many artists seem to be taking the ban very seriously, as concerts have already been lined up in Arizona, with such artists as Tom Petty, Stone Temple Pilots, and KISS, amongst others.
The law, known as SB 1070, will be fought by the Obama administration on Thursday in courts. The law would allow both local and state police to obtain and question as well as investigate the immigration status of anyone they see fit, or who have “reasonable cause to question”.
Rage Against the Machine, a foursome of leftists and famous for their anti-corporate rants, separated in 2000, but reunited again in 2007. They had once compared George W. Bush’s administration to that of the Nazi’s, claiming they should be charged as war criminals.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE IS JUST SHOWING THEIR IGNORANCE…AND I WILL NEVER SPEND ANY MONEY ON THEIR MUSIC EVER AGAIN!
THIS IS A NATION OF LAWS, SO THAT EVERYONE CAN EXPERIENCE EQUALITY.
HISPANICS WHO ARE HERE ILLEGALLY ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW.
THERE ARE IMMIGRATION LAWS IN PLACE FOR A LOT OF VERY GOOD REASONS! WE NEED TO KNOW WHETHER A PERSON COMING INTO THE U.S. HAS T.B., LEPROSY, IS A TERRORIST, A PEDOPHILE, A VIOLENT CRIMINAL, AND WHETHER OR NOT THAT PERSON ACTUALLY BELIEVES IN AND SUBSCRIBES TO THE PRINCIPLES OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, SUCH AS UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS IS A NATION OF LAWS!
Rage Against the Machine…. I used to love them when they came out in the 90′s. Again, I was very young and just listened to the music. These artists/musicians obviously take themselves to seriously. I, personally, don’t care what any of them think of the Arizona Immigration Law. They play music. That’s all they should do. This law is fantastic and is forcing illegals (which there are countless ones in Arizona) out of the States. Why are people, mainly Democrats, so against this law? Do you want people who take American jobs and don’t pay taxes? I haven’t heard one sane argument as to why this law is bad. Yes, there will be some profiling, but, if you have the valid ID you will be on your way shortly. You show your proof of ID several times a day. What’s one more. As for RATM… who cares. Bunch of schmucks.
