Tyler, J-Lo set to judge America

Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, and actress, singer, fashion designer, flygirl Jennifer Lopez are to fill the critical void left by Paula Abdul, Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi, and Simon Cowell, in the coming 10th season of American Idol. The announcement made today by the pageants host Ryan Seacrest has ended months of speculation on who would be chosen to replace the series previous judges. When asked why he chose to accept the offer, Tyler responded “I want to bring some rock to this roller-coaster.”
Jennifer Lopez revealed her own motive for taking the reins of judgment, “I’m looking for the next Michael Jackson.” The odds of the next Michael Jackson being discovered on American Idol seem very slight, Lopez may want to set her sights on the more realistic and attainable goal of finding the next Jennifer Lopez. Lopez will earn $12 million dollars in exchange for her criticism. Steven Tyler’s famous daughter Liv has endorsed her rockstar father stating “My father would be a good judge of anything.”
The networks decision to hire Tyler and Lopez appears to have been made in an effort to reinvigorate the decade old show despite how popular it has remained over the years. Jennifer Lopez is 41 Steven Tyler is scraping 60.
