In yet more headlines surrounding the confrontational Chad Ochocinco, the Cincinnati Bengals wide has been fined $25,000 by the National Football League for using an electronic device to post messages on the popular social network Twitter during a preseason game, according to the Bengals official site on (bengals.com) Wednesday.

According to official NFL rules, players are banned from possessing electronic devices such as cell phones during games. They are also forbidden from using social media 90 minutes before kickoff until the end of post-game media obligations like interviews and post-game comments.

Ochiocinco violated these rules during an exhibition game against the Philadelphia Eagles on August 20.

The colorful wide receiver, who is famous for his rows with coaches, media, and fans alike has been fined a number of times during his nine years in the NFL, including regular charges for excessive touchdown celebrations.

Ochocinco has yet to respond to the charges, but considering his past, it is likely that his outspoken voice will be heard in the coming days, either through normal channels like the media or through more uncommon means; perhaps a Facebook post?
