RB Johnson Talks Hit a Wall

Tennessee Titans star Running Back Chris Johnson and his representatives have been trying to work out a new contract with the NFL team. Johnson makes an incredibly low salary of only $550,000. This is staggering considering Johnson was the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year.
According to Johnson, talks with the Titans are “at a standstill” and that he does not know the specifics of his potential new contract After taking home the Best Breakthrough Athlete Award at the annual ESPY awards, Johnson stated that it is not in his hands and that he must have faith in his agents and representatives: “I’m letting my agent and the team handle that. Right now we’re at a standstill, and hopefully when camp starts we’ll have an outcome,” Johnson said.
It is rumored that the $2.5 Million that were once incentives will be made into bonuses in the Running Back’s new contract. Johnson also stated that he is not a greedy man and would also settle for a short term pay increase of his contract.
Johnson deserved his honor of Offensive Player of the Year, as he rushed for 2,006 yards and scored 14 touchdowns.
